Your Rights at Work - As a Trans or Gender Diverse Worker
April 1st - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
We spend the majority of our lives at work. So for Transgender Day of Visibility let's #BeSeen @ Work, let's celebrate who we are, for diversity gives us strength.
But we fundamentally know that not every workplace is safe. Around 77% of Trans and gender diverse workers have reported bullying based on their sexuality and/or gender identity.
On April 1st at 6pm, we are going to change the narrative. So bring your thinking hats as we spend an evening learning about bullying, occupational violence, gendered violence, discrimination and sexual harassment at work, from the perspective of a trans and/or gender diverse worker. Learn the differences between them, how to identify the issues and where to go when you or someone you know, needs support.
Learn about your rights at work while transitioning, and how to campaign for paid transition leave!
Listen to activist and unionist, Sally Goldner, open the night talking about her personal experiences being seen at work.
When: April 1st - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Where: Victoria Trades Hall, Lygon Street Entrance
